Indian Railways is coming with dedicated app for 17 various services


We are all familiar with the IRCTC official application for train reservations through Indian Railways. Along with train tickets, Indian Railways is planning to offer 17 other travel related services to the smartphone users through a dedicated application.

 By using the upcoming Indian Railways application, you can book cabs once you reached the destination, you can also pre-book porters to carry your luggage. All the other services like retiring rooms, lounges will also be available in the application.

The new application also offers you to book food from the favorite restaurant, you can also book hotel accommodation for your stay in any Indian city.

As per the information from the railway ministry, the application is likely to launch at the beginning of 2017. Right now all the required groundwork is in progress. The Indian Railways has two crores daily passengers around 7000 railway stations across the country.

So the department must maintain sufficient resources to meet the demands from the huge amount of passengers. If the application came into existence, train journey would become more comfortable.
