According to a Korean environmental law, the metal components which are used to build the smartphones have to be recycled and must be used twice.Samsung recalled an excess of four million units, and if Samsung destroys all the recalled units, the company will face a huge fine from the Korean government. And that is the reason why Samsung is planning to sell the refurbished Galaxy Note7.
Samsung officially confirmed that the phone is in the pipeline. It completely makes sense for Samsung to release the Galaxy Note 7 again. In January 2017, after a three long month research on the Note 7 explosion, Samsung revealed that the batteries were the only fault in the devices. Samsung also quoted that a manufacturing defect in the battery placement caused the phones to explode.
It will be interesting to see what changes are made to the Galaxy Note7 apart from the battery when it is introduce again in the market. But recently a report surfaced that Samsung is downgrading the battery capacity of the phone and the refurbished Galaxy Note 7 might pack a battery cell of 3000mAh to 3200mAh, but there’s no final evidence regarding the same. Nonetheless, people will still be afraid to purchase the phone, but the leak suggests that Samsung is adding an extra level of security not to create any mess after the release.
Samsung will take utmost care and caution this time round when they release the Galaxy Note 7 in the market again. Samsung is planning to launch the phone in selected markets such as India, Vietnam, Korea, etc
The refurbished Galaxy Note 7 is expected to cost just five to seven percent less than before. In India, it will be still above Rs. 50,000 price bracket.Samsung will be introducing the Galaxy Note 7 in the month June or July including India. Will you pick one up when relaunched.
