When jio service was launched in India Reliance also introduced LYF handset which is a affordable 4G Volte smartphone that work with the Jio 4G sim.Later, we have also seen Jio branded Mi-Fi devices called JioFi and the 4G Wi-Fi routers called JioLink. Now rumours are afloat of Reliance working on Jio 4G Laptop with 13.3" dispaly that will be a clone of Macbook that will support 4G slim slot.Earlier we have seen leaks about the Jio Car Connect, the Onboard Diagnostic device that works with the Jio 4G SIM and the Jio DTH service. Now, this leak that brings much more diversification to the Jio’s ecosystem.
In case you are confused,Jio is bringing Laptop that will work with Jio 4G slim only with it own branding on it.As seen with the LYF smartphones which are just the rebranded Chinese smartphones, now the Jio 4G laptop is actually manufactured by Foxconn for Infocus. The 4G laptop from Jio comes with a 4G SIM card slot placed on the left side. If the Windows 10 OS on the testing variant is confirmed for the final product, the company might also release the windows version of Jio suite of apps.
Reliance Jio can also use Chrome OS as it support Android App for Jio suite of apps.As per the rumour the said laptop is 13.3" display so it will not be suprise to use the Chrome OS which is also a 13.3-inch Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) display with 16:9 aspect ratio.Above the display is the HD camera for making video calls. It uses Intel Pentium quad-core processor and packs 4GB of RAM. On the storage front, there is 64GB of eMMC storage and 128GB of SSD storage.Apart from 4G LTE, other connectivity options include Bluetooth 4.0, 2 USB 3.0 ports, Micro HDMI port, and a Micro SD card slot.
But going through the features of the Chrome OS it will not come cheap for Reliance jio to market it.But we have seen Reliance Jio doing anything to capture the market so don't be surprise to see same device in downgrade version.
