Apple, Netflix, Microsoft, Amazon and IBM may have to pay 'Google Tax' in India

The 'Google tax' could soon ensnare the likes of IBM, Microsoft, Amazon Web Services, Apple and Netflix, which provide online services in India. Cloud computing companies and content providers with customers in the country may be needed to pay equalisation levy on their revenue from the next financial year as the government expands the scope of a tax levied on the advertising income of multinational Internet firms, people familiar with the matter said. "The gamut of equalisation levy could now cover cloud computing and entertainment services provided to Indians by multinationals. The change in law could come in the upcoming Budget," a person in the know said. India became the first nation to tax digital transactions when it introduced the equalisation levy of 6% — also known as the Google tax — on the advertising revenue of multinational web companies in June. OneDrive app for Android updated to v4.6.1

Microsoft OneDrive Microsoft has released a minor update for its OneDrive app on the Google Play Store for the Android users.  Version 4.6.1  brings a new automatic detection feature for consumers which will help you to capture and save cleaner Whiteboard pictures. Microsoft Edge could soon be available for Android and iOS

Microsoft Edge is a web browser that is exclusively available for Microsoft's new operating system Windows 10. In fact, Edge is the default system browser on the system. While Internet Explorer is still there as well, Edge is promoted left and right while Internet Explorer is kept on mostly for legacy reasons. Microsoft made it clear back in 2015, when it started to promote Windows 10 more actively, that it had no plans  to bring Microsoft Edge to previous versions of Windows or mobile platforms such as Android or iOS. Microsoft today announced that neural networks are now powering all the speech translation on Microsoft Translator. Microsoft also announced that this technology is now available to all developers and end-users who want to use the Microsoft Translator speech API to integrate the technology into their apps and services. The technology is available to all developers and users who want to use the Microsoft Translator speech API to integrate the technology into their favorite apps and services. Neural networks powers a total of 10 languages supported by the Microsoft Translator speech API, namely Arabic, Chinese Mandarin, English, French, German, Italian, Brazilian Portuguese, Russian and Spanish and Japanese.
