Samsung Galaxy J7 Sky Pro name trademarked in the US

It appears Samsung will soon be launching a new variant of the Galaxy J7 in the United States. The company has filed for a trademark on the brand “Galaxy J7 Sky Pro.” The filing has been accepted by the United States Patent and Trademark Office and will be assigned to an examining attorney within three months of the filing date.We haven't heard of the name until now, but we believe the Galaxy J7 Sky Pro is the US version of the Galaxy J7 (2017), the handset that made headlines in the last couple of weeks. It’s also unclear why Samsung is using the term “Sky Pro” for this device. Whether it’s because the device has some feature that’s defined by this term or whether it’s simply a new color option. The filing does mention that this trademark is for a mobile device but that was pretty evident given that this trademark filing is for a variant of the Galaxy J7. The Galaxy J7 (2017) is a mid-range smartphone that will ship with Android 7.0 Nougat on board. The smart...

Samsung Galaxy S8 renders leaked again

Yesterday we  reported  about a leaked image showing the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S8. The leaked was actually a real life image of the device, not a render or Photoshop design. Now a famous leakster Slash leaks has come up with a render calling it to be the official press render of the Samsung Galaxy S8. The shared image appears to be an official render of the phone from Samsung, but there is no confirmation for the same. It shows the thin bezels on the top and bottom of the phone, and dual-curved edge display. With the home button gone, the back of the device is now sporting the fingerprint scanner placed next to the camera sensor – an unseen location for the same as of yet. Noted tipster, Evan Blass recently shared details about the Galaxy S8 in a report suggesting that the 2017 flagship will be coming in two screen (QHD Super AMOLED) sizes – 5.8-inch and 6.2-inch. The phones will have an unusual aspect ratio for the display at 18.5:9, with both m...

Samsung Galaxy S8 Launch Date, Price, Specifications, and Design Confirmed in a new Leak

Samsung’s eighth Galaxy flagship S8 will be the most significant unveiling among the flagship smartphones to be release this year.We have come across lots of leaks and rumors about Galaxy S8 from various sources. However, unlike the LG G6, Samsung’s eighth Galaxy flagship seems to have been well hidden under the drapes, until now. According to a new report by the infamous Evan Blass (evleaks), the Galaxy S8 will be shown off on 28th March, away from the Mobile World Congress’ limelight. Blass also shared an image that reveals the Galaxy S8 will feature an iterative design upgrade rather than a complete reboot which isn’t particularly a bad thing. Samsung has removed almost every front component including the fingerprint reader and hardware navigation buttons to make room for a larger display with minimal bezel, a trend we expect to go standard in the smartphone industry this year.  The leak also confirms the specifications which were originally reported by ...

Samsung trade marks “Bixby” its upcoming assistant for Galaxy S8 & S8 plus

Unlike previous occasions where the flagship Galaxy S series is usually announced at the MWC, this year’s version could see the light towards the end of March. It had been rumored earlier that Samsung Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus will be  teased  at the event this coming February, but a recent  statement  from a Samsung official put this rumor to bed by confirming that the phone won’t be in Barcelona. Many rumors have claimed that Samsung is working on a new AI-based assistant known as Bixby. As it is, this digital assistant will be launched with the Galaxy S8 and S8 Plus and compete with the likes of Google Assistant and Apple Siri, just to name but a few. Not so long ago, it also emerged that Samsung is working on integrating the AI assistant into the front and rear cameras of the two S8 phones so that users can easily carry out a visual search. The filed patent by Samsung has patent  filing number as 016267676. Filing date for Bixby Vision ...

Samsung Galaxy S7/S7 edge on AT&T may get Nougat update in a couple of months

Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 edge users on AT&T may be waiting for their chance of upgrading their smartphones to the latest of what Google is currently recommending to phone makers i.e. Android 7.0 Nougat Update. This information came courtesy of an AT&T representative, who revealed that the update is already under beta testing, and there are "very good" chances that the final roll out will happen sometime around "beginning of Spring." It is worth mentioning, that Samsung has already  officially put an end  to the Nougat BETA program and has begun  rolling out the update  for the general public a week ago. However, carrier bound devices are always late in receiving these kind of updates than the unlocked ones. Source:gsmarena

Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro India Launch Reportedly Set for January 18

Samsung’s Galaxy C9 Pro went official in China in October 2016 and the mid-range smartphone appears set to finally make its way to the Indian market this month. According to a report, the Galaxy C9 Pro will be launched in the country on January 18. The rumoured Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro India launch date was reported by Sammobile. One of the highlights of the smartphone is its massive 6GB of RAM. The device was launched in China at CNY 3,199 (roughly Rs. 31,700), and we can expect the Samsung C9 Pro India price to be roughly the same. Samsung is keen to move past the Note 7 fiasco and get its business back on track. The Note 7 was a (big) road-bump in the grand scheme of things, so it makes sense that the company wants the show to go on. And the Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro in China aims to do just that with a fair few “firsts” for a Samsung device. The Galaxy C9 Pro is the next addition to the C-series of devices, which unfortunately are restricted to the Chinese...

We have come across lots of  leaks and  rumours of Samsung Galaxy S8 many a times from the last year itself after Samsung Note 7 was discontinued. Latest leak to hit the techy world is the videos of Samsung Galaxy S8 teaser from Korea by Samsung display, a subsidiary of Samsung. Looking at the  two videos it seems previous leaks about the device is matching as we looking at bezel display with no home button.                       One of the videos spotted by Slashleaks shows a large AMOLED display being placed on what could be the Galaxy S8 . The video has since been taken down. However, the video, if true, confirms two widely speculated details about the upcoming flagship - that the device will sport an AMOLED display and will likely come with very thin top and bottom bezels and no Home Button.                       Th...

Samung is rumoured  to launch the next iteration of its tab series sometime in Q1 of this year. The Galaxy Tab S3 is reported to receive the Bluetooth certification from Bluetooth Special Interest Group (SIG) as is revealed by the webpage. As is usually the case, the Bluetooth listing for the tablet doesn't reveal anything related to its specs.
