Intex Technologies have launched the cheapest smartphone with fingerprint scanner. The latest fingerprint enabled smartphone from Intex is known as Intex Cloud Scan FP.
The Cloud Scan FP features a polycarbonate body with metallic edges, and a fingerprint scanner placed below the rear camera. The back panel gets a textured look giving it some character, while the front is dominated by the display and capacitive navigation buttons. Though the talking point is surely the fingerprint scanner, the device lacks 4G support which in our opinion is a huge downer. With Reliance Jio in the market, 4G connectivity has become affordable for the masses, and the lack of 4G support could go against Intex's smartphone. Intex's new smartphone is available exclusively via Snapdeal, and buyers can choose from champagne and dark blue color variants. At the time of filing this story, Snapdeal is also offering a 20 percent discount for buyers using a Standard Chartered debit or credit card.
In the photography department, the Cloud Scan FP is equipped with a 5-megapixel auto-focus rear camera with f/2.8 aperture, OV5648 image sensor and LED flash. Up front, there is a 5-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.2 aperture. The smartphone is backed by a 2,450mAh battery that Intex says is good enough for up to five hours of talktime and up to 110 hours on standby mode.
Connectivity options include dual-SIM (micro+nano) card slots, 3G support, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1, GPS, AGPS and FM Radio. On the software front, the device runs on Android Marshmallow and is pre-loaded with apps like Matrabhasha, Dailyhunt, Saavn, OR code, LFTY, Intex service, Fillr, and QTouch among others.
