Samsung Galaxy Note7 customers who opt for Galaxy S7 or S7 edge get 50% discount on Galaxy S8 or Note8 in Korea



Samsung has announced a new upgrade offer for the Galaxy Note7 users in South Korea who had exchanged or going to exchange their phone for Galaxy S7 or the Galaxy S7 edge. Samsung says that the Galaxy Upgrade Program  will help the customers purchase the Galaxy S8 or Galaxy Note8 that will be released next year at up to 50% discount.




Samsung is also offering 50% discount on LCD repair costs and fast track service for after-sales for these customers. Samsung said that the program is aimed to ‘lightening the burden’ for those who swap their Note 7 device for the Galaxy S7 or S7 edge.

The S8 smartphone is scheduled to be released in February or March next year and the Note 8 phablet is expected to be launched in August or September next year.


The upgrade program in South Korea will be carried out by the end of November.

Samsung is expected to announce similar upgrade programs in other countries.

An official at Samsung said the program is aimed at "lightening the burden" for those who swap their Note 7s for the S7 or the S7 Edge.

   The Samsung official also urged owners of the Note 7 to swiftly exchange their devices for other smartphones.

We may already know of HMD Global launching Nokia 8 &9 later half of this year but recent leaked report otherwise.
