It appears Samsung will soon be launching a new variant of the Galaxy J7 in the United States. The company has filed for a trademark on the brand “Galaxy J7 Sky Pro.” The filing has been accepted by the United States Patent and Trademark Office and will be assigned to an examining attorney within three months of the filing date.We haven't heard of the name until now, but we believe the Galaxy J7 Sky Pro is the US version of the Galaxy J7 (2017), the handset that made headlines in the last couple of weeks.
It’s also unclear why Samsung is using the term “Sky Pro” for this device. Whether it’s because the device has some feature that’s defined by this term or whether it’s simply a new color option. The filing does mention that this trademark is for a mobile device but that was pretty evident given that this trademark filing is for a variant of the Galaxy J7.
The Galaxy J7 (2017) is a mid-range smartphone that will ship with Android 7.0 Nougat on board. The smartphone sports a 5.5-inch display with either full HD (1080p) or HD (720p) resolution.A 13-megapixel camera is likely to be featured on the back side, while in the front there should be either a 5- or 8-megapixel selfie camera. The smartphone was spotted with either Exynos 7870 processor and 2GB RAM inside, or Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 and 3GB RAM.

If you’ve been following Techymindplay closely for the past few of months, you’re probably aware that the handset has already been imported into India for testing, been granted its Bluetooth and Wi-Fi certification credentials and recently surfaced in a prematurely published case render, which means that it’s now passed all of the tests required before it can launch on the open market.
The Galaxy J7 (2017) could be released in the US at Verizon, U.S. Cellular and AT&T, but other carriers might offer the smartphone as well. But we have to wait for a while before everything clears out and Samsung officially announce the same.
