Micromax to launch a new smartphone with dual camera setup

Micromax, the largest Indian born brand have seems to be in hibernation for quite sometime until now.Micromax India has now come up with a teaser of a new product. The teaser says ‘Cannot overlook‘ . In the above ‘Cannot overlook’ text, we have the ‘O’ letter in a unique highlighted way. It is written in such a way that makes it looks like a dual camera. It is similar to the teaser of Honor 6x’s dual camera. It is also going to be company’s first smartphone with dual camera setup. Thereisn’t much information available currently about the upcoming smartphone from Micromax.

For now, Micromax hasn’t released too many details on the smartphone. Of course, speculation has already started on what to expect from the upcoming Micromax device.

However, according to a report,Micromax will launch two new 4G VoLTE phones in the Indian market, under the Bharat series. The Bharat 1 is said to be a feature phone, whereas the Bharat 2 will be a low-cost smartphone. The latter phone is going to be the first Google “approved” phone, and should cost below Rs 2000. It will have a Java based OS instead of Android. Bharat 1, on the other hand, will be the company’s first 4G VoLTE feature phone. It is expected to be priced at Rs 1,999.

But of course, this dual-rear camera smartphone won’t come cheap. It will also be Micromax’s big comeback phone in the smartphone category, where it hasn’t been doing too well lately.

Micromax is already facing very tough competition from Chinese players like Oppo, Xiaomi and Vivo in Indian market. The company is loosing customers as it has a very bad track record when it comes to software support.

Micromax is trying to get it foothold back on the mobile Indian market by announcing this dual camera smartphone and Bharat series.
