MIUI8 Screen Recording Feature (Developer Edition) Available via Update


Xiaomi has recently release an update available for developers for enhancing screen recording features on MIUI8 for their smartphones.MIUI8 will soon be release in the month of march.This is the developer version, which means there will also be the stable version. However, the screen recording is now available directly from the home screen. No need to root your phone and lost the warranty.



Those who want to test the MIUI8 Screen Recording Developer Edition should apply the new update pushed over the air. Once it is installed, the Screen recording icon will appear in the System Tools folder on the desktop.
First, it was released to the Xiaomi Mi 3 / 4 / 5 / Note and other popular models. As for now, this feature is available for more models. The MIUI developers’ team states, the screen recording function will be fully improved in the stable version. But they need more users to test it and explore bugs in software.



As for the feature itself, it’s too easy to use. There is special button on the screen allowing to start the recording. Once you want to stop it, tap the button to turn the feature off. You can also choose the record speed, sound quality and a few other features.


Screen recording is demanded nowadays either for business or for individual purposes. This feature is very useful, and it will bring a lot of advantage to Mi users. At the same time, when iPhone and Android users want to record a video of their screen they should either use a third-party apps or root / jeailbreak their handset.
