Recently Samsung launched the Galaxy On5 2016 andGalaxy On7 2016 smartphones in China with an all metal body and fingerprint sensor. In July this year, the company also launched the Galaxy On5 Pro and Galaxy On7 Pro smartphones in India. These are the second iteration of the original Galaxy On5 and Galaxy On7smartphones in their respective countries. Now, Samsung will soon launch a new smartphone in this Galaxy On series called Galaxy On8.

The device will be exclusively sold through Flipkart in India, and we expect it to be available during the Big Billion Days Sale starting from October 2nd. It is said to feature 5.5-inch Super AMOLED display with Full HD (1920 x 1080 pixels) resolution. This will also be the first smartphone in the Galaxy On series to sport a Super AMOLED display. Talking about the other specifications, the Galaxy On8 is expected to be powered by Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz.
It includes 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage along with a MicroSD card slot. From the above featured image, we can see the volume rocker on the left edge of the device, while the power button will be placed on the right edge. Even the speaker grill can be expected on the right edge of the display, which we have seen withGalaxy j7 Prime. The Galaxy On5 2016 and On7 2016 launched in China also featured the speaker on the right edge of the display.
Coming to the camera department, there is a 13MP rear camera with LED flash and a 5MP front camera. There is also fingerprint sensor integrated into the physical home button of the device. Unlike the other Galaxy On series devices in India, the Galaxy On8 is expected to be priced in between Rs. 20,000 to Rs. 25,000 price range. Since the company is yet to confirm all these specifications, take this with a pinch of salt. Stay tuned to mindplay for more updates.
