Two Xiaomi smartphone sharing the same key specifications have been spotted on TENAA and are speculated to be affordable versions of the rumored Redmi 4.
Xiaomi had recently launched the Mi Note 2 in China, and the company a not also surprised its fans by launching the 6.4-inch bezel-less Xiaomi Mi MIX smartphone and Xiaomi Mi VR alongside the Mi Note 2. Even as the year dawns to an end, there have been several reports which show that Xiaomi is working on more smartphones. The latest smartphone to join the bandwagon is an alleged Redmi 4A, and it has been spotted on TENAA. Interestingly, two smartphones have been spotted, but with similar specifications hinting that it would be two different variants of the same smartphone.
As listed on TENAA, the two Xiaomi smartphones bear the model numbers 2016111 and 2016112. Although there has not been any word on which smartphones they are, GizmoChina speculates that it could be Redmi 4A. The TENAA listing of both the smartphones has revealed some key specifications and features. Both the models also share the same specifications except for one difference. To start with, both the models of the alleged Xiaomi Redmi 4A are expected to feature a 5-inch HD (1280×720 pixels) TFT display.
The smartphones could come with 2GB of RAM and onboard storage of 16GB. Under the hood of the Xiaomi Redmi 4A smartphones, a quad-core processor clocked at 1.4GHz is expected to run. On the software front, the smartphones are expected to run on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out-of-the-box. The connectivity options expected in the Redmi 4A smartphones include dual-SIM support, 4G LTE, Bluetooth, GPS and FM Radio. A fingerprint scanner is also expected to be embedded on the rear, as seen in other Xiaomi Redmi smartphones.
The Xiaomi Redmi 4A smartphones could opt for a 3,030mAh battery. The two variants of the Xiaomi Redmi 4A also share the same weight of 140 grams and dimensions of 139.9×70.4×8.5mm. The color options available for the Xiaomi Redmi 4A are gold and silver. As for the only difference between the two variants of the Xiaomi Redmi 4A is the expandable storage. One of the variants bearing model number 2016111 comes with expandable storage option, whereas the other variant with model number 2016112 does not come with expandable storage.The camera of Redmi 4A will be suppose 13 MP Primary/Rear. 1/22.PDAF with single Led flash.5x digital zoom and front will be 5MP.
It can be presume from the leak image from above that there will be two version of Redmi 4.One would be affordable version Redmi 4A.The last time Xiaomi Redmi 4 was spotted online was two months back which was on both TENAA and on Geekbench. Xiaomi’s Redmi 4 was doing rounds on the rumor mill for quite some time, but has since kind of disappeared.
The Redmi 4 is expected to sport a 13-megapixel rear camera with f/2.0 aperture, PDAF and LED flash. Up front, a 5-megapixel selfie camera with f/2.2 aperture is expected. On the software front, the Redmi 4 could run on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow based MIUI 8. For power, the Redmi 4 could use a massive 4,100mAh battery. The Redmi 4 is also expected to come with a fingerprint scanner and the color options could be gold, dark gray and silver. The Redmi 4 was rumored to come with a price tag of 1299 Yuan or 191 USD(Rs 12700 approximately) and considering how the Redmi 4A is deemed to be an affordable version, its pricing could somewhat be around 680 Yuan or 100 USD (Rs 6900 approximately)
Rumors and leak doesn`t stop here around Redmi 4,almost two months back another Xiaomi device was spotted on Geekbench which was affordable version of Redmi 4.The alleged affordable version of the Redmi 4, carries the code name Xiaomi Mido and the Geekbench listing revealed some key specifications about the smartphone. To start with, Xiaomi Mido is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor clocked at 2GHz. The smartphone is expected to come with 2GB of RAM and 16GB onboard storage, which are akin to the alleged Redmi 4A’s specifications. The Xiaomi Mido, like the Redmi 4A is also expected to run on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. On Geekbench, Xiaomi Midi clocked a single-core score of 842 and a multi-core score of 3,608. All the rumors point to a Xiaomi Redmi 4 smartphone, but till now there has been no official word on any of these smartphones.
