Reliance Jio DTH features and Benefits




Whatever the technical issues with the Reliance Jio, one thing is clear Jio created a big sensation in the Indian telecom industry. Other operators like BSNL, Airtel, Idea announced attractive plan after the Reliance Jio arrival. Now Reliance Jio eyed on DTH services with innovative features.


Before 31st December 2016 – you have to take connection of DTH Set top Box. In this process, the Reliance Jio is all set to launch new service called Digital DTH (IP Television) – IPTV with FTTH Broadband. The Jio DTH Launch date is 15th December 2016. The customer having Airtel DTH/ Videocon D2H, Tata DTH or Dish TV can also buy Jio DTH Set top Box. As per the speculation – Jio DTH will be free of first 6 months as per the welcome offer.

Reliance Jio will offer STB (Set Top Box) which runs on Android operating system with few preinstalled apps and games to its subscribers. The STB connects to the nearest Reliance Jio tower through A CPE device and provides both the broadband and DTH TV services to the customer. In few areas, Reliance Jio will provide internet and DTH services through the fiber optic connections.



Unlike other DTH services like Airtel, and Tata Sky, you no need to purchase STB with recording facility to get the favorite programs recording. The Reliance Jio STB is coming with catch up facility which offers one-week tv shows and movies available to the users, and you can watch any previous TV show when you want.

You can pause any TV show on one device and resume the same show on another device with the Reliance Jio DTH service. The DTH service is coming with 300+ Free channels for the base package, and more channels will be available with other expensive plans.

As per inside source Reliance Jio DTH will be launch by 15th Dec 2016 as previously leak date of 8th Nov owing to some pending govt. clearnace and certification. 


As per the speculations, The Upcoming Reliance JIO DTH will be the cheapest DTH service in the Indian market and the plans and tariffs shall transform the whole industry upside down and of course, consumers shall get the maximum benefit out of it.

As per the rough estimation, the monthly plans of Reliance JIO DTH shall start from 185/- INR and give access to the same list of channels as other providers offer in 275/- INR to 300/- INR.The customer can apply for new DTH Connection online. This will be the cheapest DTH connection available in India. The monthly Plans for South India Channel will be ₹195/- and Sports Combo with Star/ Zee TV/ Colors/ Sony and other channel (Serials) will be ₹210/ per month.

Apple launches iPhone8, iPhone 8Plus & iPhone X
