Instagram, the popular photo-sharing application has picked up an update adding an option to save your live videos. Yes, Instagram is finally adding the much-asked feature by its users. To recall, Instagram recently added the ‘Live’ videos feature, where you can directly interact with the audience, same as the Facebook Live.
The feature for saving live videos is added in the application version 10.12, and you need to update your app in respective app stores to get the feature working. That said, Instagram already pushed the latest version to Google Play Store and App Store.

In Facebook Live video, a popup appears right after the broadcast asking to post the video. If you press post, the video will be posted onto your timeline, and you can watch it later. But, that isn’t the case with Instagram, though as the video will be saved to your phone, and not your timeline.
It is simple to use this feature in Istagram. Start a live video as you usually do by swiping left from the home screen and interact with the people. At the end of the video, you can see a new download button at the right corner. By clicking that button, your video will be saved to your phone.
Instagram is considering rolling out a new ‘appointments’ feature, according to a new report.According to Bloomberg reports Instagram, the photo-sharing application owned by Facebook Inc., will soon let people book appointments with businesses, part of an effort to expand the app's consumer uses.
For example people would able to book for a service by going through the business's account within the Instagram app. Bloomberg reports that the feature will roll out in the “next couple months”, which means it will be available around the same time as the new ‘shopping’ feature.Istagram is trying to take on similar services like OpenTable, Yelp and even booking services in Google Maps.
Like Facebook, Instagram is trying to hoard ALL OF THE FEATURES. With shopping coming to the platform soon, which lets users buy items directly from business pages, Stories and live video - Instagram is trying to lock in its users which is a trend now-a-days and the concept is called walled garden.
